DESCRIPTION:Please join us for “Clean Water for All: Reflecting on the 2014 Crisis and Shaping a Water Secure Future” on January 9\, 2024\, from 5 pm to 9 p.m. at the Culture Center in Charleston. \nJanuary 9\, 2024 will mark 10 years from the day that a chemical leak on the Elk River left 300\,000 people in nine counties throughout the Kanawha Valley region without safe water. This day was a turning point in our collective history\, one that highlighted the precious nature of our shared water resources\, activated new leaders\, and led to legislative wins protecting drinking water quality.  \nTo commemorate this historic event\, please join us to bring together the stories of those impacted by the Elk River chemical leak and the stories of new advocates responding to current problems. \nThis free event will feature live music\, speakers\, interactive art\, food\, and community. \nPlease register for the event here.

DESCRIPTION:Join us on January 20\, 2024 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the State Capital to celebrate the benefits of solar for West Virginia.  \nSolar is under attack by legislators and monopoly utilities that are leading the effort to change net metering rules—important policies that ensure solar is economically viable and accessible to all consumers. We cannot let this happen. \nCommunity solar and net metering are important to West Virginians\, we want a sustainable future and fair compensation for the power we produce. \nThis indoor/outdoor event will include speakers from the industry\, decision makers\, and solar customers\, as well as advocacy training and the chance to speak face-to-face with key decision makers. Music and limited refreshments will be provided. Register now to participate in ride sharing or catch one of our buses from across the state!
