This issue of The Highlands Voice celebrates our 50^th Anniversary and looks at some of the things we have been involved in during the past fifty years.  No look at our history would be complete without acknowledging our chronicler David Elkinton.  In his book Fighting to Protect the Highlands, The First Forty Years of the West Virginia Highlands Conservancy.  For stories in this issue, his book was a resource.  It also tells the Rest of the Story.
